Community library book shares (often called street libraries or Little Free Library boxes) operate on a simple, honour-based "take a book, share a book" model. Anyone can walk up, browse the collection, and take a title that catches their eye without needing a library card, fees, or adherence to strict due dates. Donate books, swap a book with one of yours, or borrow a book and return or even just keep a book without offering anything in return should you feel the wish to.

Core Mechanics

• Take a Book: If you find a story or guide you want to read, you can take it home. You are not required to return that specific copy, though you can.

• Share a Book: To keep the exchange alive, users are encouraged to leave a different book in return when they take one, or simply donate books they no longer need. Though if you have no book to leave, you are not obliged to.

• No Rules or Penalties: There are no sign-ups, late fees, or tracking systems. 

Community Upkeep
