All positions require a clear criminal history, a minimum age of 16 and ability to understand basic documents but no other skills or experiences necessary.

Trustee
A trustee is an unpaid individual who is reponsible for governing the trust and guiding the team to ensure the trusts remains ethical, forward-thinking and continuing to benefit the residents it serves.
A trustee is reponsible for making informed, objective decisions and must act with high integrity according to the terms of the trust constitution.
A trustee should understand the purposes of the trust, know the day-to-day operations and be confident to express their concerns.
We have a small team of trustees that are expected to attend meetings and take votes on decisions that affect the trust.

Digital News Editor
A creative and exciting voluntary role for an individual to be involved in gathering local news stories from a variety of sources and producing a snapshot of the relevant and interesting ones for our website. This person must be time committed, skilled with English and careful with copyrights (providing sources and links etc).
This role will be the editor for a new local news feature on our website. You can work from home at hours that suit you but the website must be updated a few times a week so needs someone with the time available to commit to this although no previous experience needed.
Play Street Road Marshall
Kilravok Play Street in the Queen's Park Avenues is in need of volunteer road marshalls for 2 hour sessions on any weekday evening or weekend anytime. Training and equipment is provided by Active Westminster and training can be done online. You can bring your own children to play on the street as you help. Enjoy bringing a sense of community back to modern living!
General Board Member
None of the liabilities or decision making responsibilities that a trustee has but a general board member would still sit on the trust committee and provide advice, expertise, or support.
A general board member is a valued member of the team but cannot make final decisions on behalf of the trust although may vote if a vote is open to members.
General board members will be expected to attend a minimal amount of meetings per year.
Resident Engagement Officer
This voluntary role requires energy, confidence and commitment. Work the hours of your choice and to your own initiative. A Queen's Park Westminster Ward resident is preferred for this role to understand the local residents. The aim of this role is to promote Queen's Park Trust and increase membership through engaging with residents at events, meetings, or door-to-door campaigning as you prefer.

Marketing Executive
Queen's Park Trust aims to support as many residents as possible in or near to Queen's Park Westminster. In order to do this, we need to use multiple methods for reaching residents and promoting the Trust in a postive way. This role would involve working as a team within our committee, accountable to the Chair of the Board and Trustees but would also need to work within a sub-team with the Resident Engagement Officer, EDI Officer, Social Media Manager and CEO. Someone with initiative, enthusiasm and drive would be ideal!

Canal Litter Clean-ups
Litter picking from the towpath and waterway along the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal from Ladbroke Grove to Great Western Road. These sessions are held on a regular basis in a small team with equipment provided. Other areas considered too.
Befriender
Express your interest in spending time with any lonely, local resident, maybe someone elderly, disabled or new to the city. You would need to have an enhanced DBS and willing to undergo due diligence checks for the role but times and days for sessions are up to you and the resident. Meetings would preferably take place in a park or other public place. Maybe take them to places on the 'Free to Visit in London' page but currently there are no expense reimbursements for travel as we are a no-budget Trust.
Tree Pit Gardeners
We have a project to plant and maintain all the tree pits in the Queen's Park Westminster Ward. We need volunteers to help us get them started and also individuals to adopt a single tree or two or three and keep that tree pit free of litter, weeded and watered in the Summer.
Child Playground Leader
Motivating children to play physical games such as hopscotch, hula hoop, bowling and skipping at our Park Maker sessions in Queen's Park Gardens on Wednesdays 3-5pm through the Summer holidays. No training needed as you would be assisting the leader who has first aid training and designated safeguarding lead training, and DBS not required as you would not be left alone with children but if you do have any of these, it would be a bonus.
Cat Foster Carer
We are currently seeking individuals happy to work with Animal Welfare at Westminster Council to become a foster home for local cats in need as part of a new Queen's Park Trust scheme in process. Our scheme is not ready yet but WCC is always in need of pet foster homes in the local area.
Newsletter Creative Designer
Someone experienced at basic graphic design ie. flyers and posters, to work remotely, at times suited to you. Currently we have an account with Canva that can be shared with you. Primarily this role is for doing a 1 page monthly newsletter however if you wanted to do more, it could be for 2-6 flyers and/or posters a month too, depending on how much time you would like to put into the role.
Football Coach for Under 8's
Currently seeking someone who is great with young children, has energy and confidence to deliver basic 'kickabout' football games for young children. To hold two 45 minute sessions back-to-back, one for 3-6 year olds and another for 6-8 year olds.
