View from Ladbroke Grove Bridge looking West
The bright sun produced rich blue and green reflections across the gently rippling water. Looking west, five Canada Geese travelled together in a line through the open water.

While another two Canada geese were seen swimming East of the bridge. The canal surface appeared largely free from floating litter, foam and visible oily pollution.

These photos show an exceptionally calm section of the canal in the warm, low evening sunlight. The almost motionless water creates strong mirror-like reflections of the
buildings, trees, boats and clouds, giving the canal a particularly still surface creates a strong reflection of the residential buildings, boats and trees.

A large willow overhanging the water adds greenery to this residential stretch and provides valuable shade and shelter along the canal margin.
The low evening sun creates a warm glow across the almost still scene, with some natural lens flare visible in the photograph.
The exceptionally still water produces vivid, almost mirror-like reflections of the blue sky, clouds and waterside buildings. Warm evening sunlight illuminates the older brick wall and vegetation on the left, while the modern residential buildings dominate the opposite bank.
Seven Canada Geese travelled together along the canal, creating a pattern of overlapping ripples across the reflective water. The established bankside vegetation provides a softer and potentially more sheltered margin alongside the surrounding urban development.

Looking east, the water is almost perfectly still, creating exceptionally detailed reflections of the modern buildings, moored boats, trees and cloud-filled blue sky.

Looking west, gentle ripples and warm sunlight highlighted the older brick buildings and colourful canalside artwork. With very little floating litter and no obvious foam or oily pollution.
Two Eurasian Coots provided the final wildlife sighting of the visit. Its dark plumage and distinctive white facial shield stood out against the reflections of the sky and surrounding buildings. As it moved through the canal, its gentle wake transformed the otherwise mirror-like surface into flowing patterns.
